Welcome back to my monthly blog post, where I share a little bit of travel and a little bit of life to give some insight to what it's like to be part of our agency!

Trips I've Been Planning

Obviously, every trip is important to us, as we love our clients and want them to have the best experience! But sometimes hearing what other people are doing provides great inspiration, and so I will try to do that in this section. 

This month, we were definitely busy again, especially with the cold weather making people dream of warm getaways!  The cruise line I booked the most was Disney Cruise Line, and my second-highest booked supplier was Sandals, which is a little unique for me, but I'm happy with it! 

I still had a good mix with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival, Apple Vacations, Holland America, and Palace Resorts, all fitting the needs of my clients!  This month, most of my bookings were for 2026 (and most of those travel before the end of June!), and I also had a dozen bookings for 2027 and one for 2028.  

I planned quite a few anniversary trips, which makes my heart so happy, as anniversaries are something that I believe should definitely be celebrated!  I also had the privilege of booking a big retirement family cruise for a client.  I'm so excited for her and her extended family to have this time together next year!

A couple of years ago, I had the opportunity to go on a tour of several Palace Resorts, which I fell in love with.  A client reached out wanting to do a family trip and had a resort in mind, but with my recommendation, they switched to the Moon Palace Grand, and I can't wait for them to experience this.

Trips I Can't Stop Thinking About

Again, I love to travel (hence why I chose this profession), but sometimes there's a trip I plan that I have to add to my bucket list!  This month, I had some clients on the  Discovery Princess down in Australia and New Zealand!  They sent me some pictures, but I can't wait to see more!

From My Travel Journal

Still no personal travel for February, unless you count going to Illinois to visit family.  But stay tuned- March will make up for it! Want to guess where I am going in March? I will give you a hint - it is somewhere I have never been before and on a cruise line I have never sailed on before!

Travel Updates You'll Want to Know 

Starting this month, Rome implemented their Trevi Fountain Tourist tax.

For a few days, travel to Puerto Vallarta was disrupted after the Mexican government killed a top drug cartel leader, and some violence broke out in the area.

We always recommend checking www.travel.state.gov for all travel advisories and entry requirements.  We also recommend enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program anytime you travel abroad.  You can find more details at https://mytravel.state.gov/s/step.

Life Lately

I am determined to be healthier in 2026, and I'm still loving my workouts with friends.  I've even walked on the treadmill during a couple of work webinars that I didn't need to be on camera for!  

Will and I are still working through episodes of The West Wing (if you've seen it- no spoilers!), and so far still loving it.  We are on season 4 now (crazy to think these aired back in 2002!)

We also celebrated the Patriots' loss in the Super Bowl (I admit that I was going to switch off the game if they took the lead at any point). Sorry to all the Pats fans out there- but the rivalry is deep!

I also read the historical fiction book The Cuban Heiress for a book club through our franchise network.  It takes place on the ship SS Morro Castle in 1934, sailing from New York to Havana, and is filled with twists and turns.  I have to admit that before reading this book, I didn't realize the SS Morro Castle was an actual ship and was shocked to learn more about the events surrounding her! 

I'm also reading the book Thursday Murder Club, based on the recommendation of a friend.  And I started the book Think Like a Monk for another business-oriented book club that I just joined. Stay tuned next month for my thoughts!

But our BIG NEWS is that our daughter got a new dog!!  His name is Hektor, and he's a 4-month-old Morkie.  He's adapting to city life very well, and our daughter is definitely his person!  I've loved the pictures, videos, and FaceTime, and CANNOT wait to snuggle him!  Enjoy some cuteness that's sure to make your day!
